Deborah
Deborah is a young woman with MS. She and her mate, Lovie, are struggling to make ends meet and to stay independent. They live in the 28216 Zip Code Area. Lovie has heart problems and Deborah and he depend on each other to do things and try to maintain their home. They need a family of faith to love them and minister to them through the Adopt an Elder Program. They need the touch of the Lord in their lives.
Deborah and Lovie need assistance with:
- Shopping
- Cleaning
- Some transportation
- Spiritual support
- Friends!
John
John is a 63 year old stroke survivor. His stroke has left him with partial paralysis on his left side and some brain injury. John is in a wheelchair but says he is going to learn to walk again. He lives in the 28216 area in an apartment but is looking for less expensive housing. He needs a" Love In the Name of Christ Adopt an Elder Team" to love him and care about him. John needs help with the following:
Shopping and errands
Transportation occasionally to the doctor
Cleaning
Visits
Telephone calls
Won’t you be the ones to reach out to John and show him the love of a Savior? He is already a believer but needs Christian brothers and sisters around him to show they care.
Regina
Regina is a 67 year old lady with various disabilities, including congestive heart failure. She has had a hard life and has struggled to survive. Regina often wonders if God has forgotten her. She tries hard to make it in this world but desperately needs help. She has been unable to attend church due to her illnesses but was active in the Room in the Inn Program at her church in Huntersville until she became ill. Now she needs a community of faith to love her and that is closer to her. In other words, she needs an Adopt an Elder LINC team to come along beside her and help her. Regina needs assistance with:
- Light housekeeping
- Organization
- Shopping and errands from time to time
- Spiritual support
- Yardwork
